The first 30 chairs

Help bring the first production run to life.

The first production run is planned for 30 chairs. Pre-orders are now open with a 50% deposit. Choose American walnut or one of four oiled oak finishes, then select a set of 1, 4, 6 or 8 chairs.

Funding progress: the campaign target has not yet been set, so we can’t show a truthful “amount remaining” figure yet. We’ll add the live target and progress once the prototype budget is confirmed.

New stretch goal · 50 chairs

Help us unlock active seat ventilation.

When the campaign reaches 50 confirmed chair preorders, we will begin engineering and prototype development of an optional three-level active ventilation system for The Crown Chair.

What will it cost? We do not know the final price yet. Our earlier preliminary estimate of €250–350 per chair covered the broader Climate Comfort package — active ventilation plus heating in the seat and backrest — not ventilation alone. The final specification and price will depend on the prototype, supplier quotations and testing.

No automatic extra charge: ventilation is not included in today’s preorder price or deposit. Preorder supporters will receive the confirmed specification and price first, and can decide whether they want to add it.

Technical note: the concept uses airflow through perforated upholstery for comfort. It is not refrigerated air conditioning or Peltier cooling. Final details may change after prototype testing.

Designed around game night

A chair should feel like part of the table.

The Crown Chair brings together a sculpted wooden frame, perforated upholstery and a relaxed, reclining profile. Every detail is being developed for the rituals around a game table: planning the next move, sharing the last snack and staying for the story after the game.

Prototype. Test. Then build the first 30.

Our current plan is to build a working prototype in January 2027, make final design adjustments and test the production version in February. If the tests go well, production will begin with 30 chairs for preorder supporters.

Built in the open: the schedule is a plan and may change with testing. Preorder prices and the 50% deposit are shown above and on the product page. Refund/cancellation conditions and the estimated delivery timing are still being finalized and will be communicated to preorder customers as they are confirmed.
